John Korpusick Double Dipps Shane Cote for his First Win of the Year.
New England 9 ball series Stop 5 at Legends Billiards in Portsmouth, NH
15 players came out to play on this Sunday here is a list of some of the notables that atended.
Mike Nicaloro, Ivo Petrov, Shane Cote, Ryan Hodsen, Mike Barbagallo, Dave Lemay.
The winners side final was between a new commer to the tour his name was Garith Steel, Shane Cote the race between them was a 5-4 race Shane came out swinging and took a 3-0 Lead. Garith won the next 3 games to make it a 3-3 , in game 7 Garith had a chance to seal the deal with a 2-9 combo. He would miss it and leave shane The game, and that would make the match hill hill.
it would be Shanes break , he would take full atvantage of it he would break, run the rack out for a 5-3 win and his spot in the finals.
on the 1 loss side finals was Garith Steel, John Korpusick and this was a 5-4 and Garith was not in this match at all i think he ran out of gas, he would lose the match 4-2 and have to settle for 3rd place.
The finals Shane Cote vs John Korpusick and this was a true double elimination the race was 6-4 the first set Shane had no chance
John Korpusick was firing like a pro and would win 4-2 The second set went the same way John was shooting great, making all kinds of great shots and he would win the second set 4-4 and take the title.
